Serra Riccò hosted the first edition of “A Kick Against War,” organized by the European Muslim League (EML) with the high patronage of the International Parliament for Safety and Peace – World Organization of States (IPSP-WOS), an intergovernmental organization committed to promoting peace.
The event saw the participation of citizens from Italy (Bergamo, Rome, Trieste, Avellino, Milan, Turin) and international guests from Tunisia, Morocco, Lebanon, Syria, and Switzerland. A key moment was the closing speech by the Governor of Liguria, Marco Bucci, who thanked Ambassador Alfredo Maiolese for organizing the event and invited him to promote further initiatives focused on inclusion and dialogue.
With the support of Regione Liguria, the Municipality of Genoa, the Municipality of Pizzo Calabro, the Archdiocese of Genoa, the Jewish Community of Genoa, CONI, FIGC, and OIDE, the event was a symbol of peace and unity. Due to its unexpected success, there are plans to make it an annual event, building bridges between communities and cultures.
