The European Muslims League (EML), by decision of its Presidential Council, is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Abdel Rahim Belhoussain as Peace Ambassador of EML in France. With a profound sense of responsibility and commitment to the values of Islam and peaceful coexistence, Professor Belhoussain has been chosen to represent the vision of EML in the French territory.
At the same time, EML has established the International Academy of Islamic Studies (I.A.I.S.), with the goal of promoting Islamic education, interreligious dialogue, and spiritual reflection. The direction of the Academy has been entrusted to Professor Abdel Rahim Belhoussain, who enthusiastically embraced the initiative, bringing the headquarters and activities of the I.A.I.S. to the mosque he leads.
The Academy has launched an important series of lectures entitled “La Foi et Le Dogme – الإيمان والعقيدة”, open to everyone—men and women—and enriched with Qur’anic recitation. During the month of Ramadan, the I.A.I.S. also offers a special series of meetings dedicated to the spiritual and Qur’anic meaning of fasting.
This dual appointment, approved by the Presidential Council of the European Muslims League, strengthens the bond between EML and the French Muslim community, highlighting key figures such as Professor Abdel Rahim Belhoussain—capable of leading with wisdom and dedication toward a more just, dialoguing, and peace-centered society.
