Doha, Qatar – Thirty years after the Copenhagen Summit, the world once again reflects on social development during the Second World Summit for Social Development, held in Doha from 4 to 6 November 2025 under the auspices of the United Nations.

The meeting reaffirmed the urgency of a shared commitment to fighting poverty, promoting decent work, and building a society rooted in inclusion and solidarity. These themes have always been central to the mission of the European Muslims League (EML), which is devoted to fostering dialogue, cooperation, and social justice within and beyond Europe.

During the summit, the Doha Solutions Forum showcased innovative experiences and policies capable of generating real change within the most vulnerable communities. The Doha Political Declaration reiterated that social progress must be shared, equitable, and grounded in human dignity, while the Doha Solutions Platform created a new space for cooperation aimed at developing and supporting high-impact social initiatives.

The European Muslims League emphasizes that sustainable development cannot be separated from the ethical and spiritual values that sustain peaceful coexistence. Justice, solidarity, and mutual respect remain the foundation for harmonious growth in modern societies.

In a world marked by inequality and conflict, the experience of Doha stands as an appeal to strengthen cooperation among peoples and to renew our collective commitment to a future where no one is excluded or forgotten.
