We, gathered in Genoa, affirm that peace is not a utopia nor a concession of history, but a shared human responsibility.
Peace arises from the ability to live together amid differences, addressing them with respect, dialogue and awareness, without violence, without hatred and without denying the humanity of others.
We recognize that every person possesses an inviolable dignity, regardless of origin, faith, language, social condition or convictions.
We believe that respect for common rules, mutual listening and sincere dialogue are fundamental tools for transforming differences into coexistence and for preventing all forms of violence.
We are convinced that peace is built through daily conduct, concrete examples and consistent choices, particularly through the commitment of adults toward future generations.
Through this Declaration, Genoa becomes a place of moral and civic commitment, open to the world, and proposes a universal message grounded in coexistence and peace as a concrete choice.
This Declaration belongs to all those who recognize the human being as the highest value to be defended.
