The European Muslims League (EML) took part in the 2026 session of the Consulta of Religions of the Comune di Genova, represented by its President, Alfredo Maiolese, contributing to the institutional discussions dedicated to interreligious dialogue and cooperation among the communities present in the city.
The meeting provided an opportunity for an in-depth exchange on the ongoing activities and future directions of the Consulta, confirming its role as a stable forum for dialogue, cooperation and shared responsibility, conducted in full respect of the different religious and cultural identities.
The session was attended by the City Councillor Rita Bruzzone, with responsibility for Educational Services, the Right to Education, Training, Equal Opportunities and Gender Policies, whose presence reaffirmed the Municipality of Genoa’s commitment to inclusion, social cohesion and intercultural dialogue.
During the proceedings, the European Muslims League presented the Third Edition of “Un Calcio alla Guerra – Kick War Away”, outlining the objectives and the evolution of the initiative, which uses sport as a universal tool for encounter, shared responsibility and the promotion of peace, in cooperation with local institutions and communities.
EML’s participation in the 2026 session forms part of an ongoing path of collaboration with the Municipality of Genoa and the members of the Consulta of Religions, aimed at strengthening initiatives capable of translating dialogue into concrete actions in the service of the city and of peaceful coexistence.
