Building peace begins within local communities. Through the commitment of public institutions, associations, volunteers, and citizens, local territories transform the values of dialogue, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence into concrete actions that strengthen trust and social cohesion.
In this spirit, the network of supporters of the Third Edition of “Kick War Away – International Peace March” continues to expand. The initiative is organized by the European Muslims League (EML) under the High Patronage of the World Organization of States – International Parliament for Safety and Peace (WOS-IPSP), an intergovernmental organization, and will take place in Genoa, Italy, on 9–10 October 2026.
In recent days, several new municipalities have confirmed their participation in the initiative, including Messina, Caltanissetta, Naples, Imperia, and Ceranesi, reflecting the growing interest in a project dedicated to promoting peace, fraternity among peoples, and cooperation between public institutions.
Each new participation represents a meaningful contribution to the promotion of a culture of peace. The involvement of municipalities reinforces the significance of the initiative, demonstrating how local administrations can play a vital role in encouraging dialogue, civic engagement, and the participation of younger generations in educational activities based on mutual respect and shared responsibility.
The International Peace March is more than a public event; it is an opportunity for people, cultures, and local communities to come together around the common values of cooperation, mutual understanding, and solidarity. Sport, interfaith dialogue, and institutional collaboration become practical instruments for building more united, inclusive, and peaceful societies.
The European Muslims League expresses its sincere appreciation to all municipalities that have chosen to support this initiative and warmly invites other local authorities, associations, and institutions to join this growing network, so that the message of peace, friendship, and hope may reach an ever-increasing number of communities in Italy and around the world.
