Muslims, Christians, and other communities present in the country are part of a shared history that over the centuries has spiritually and culturally enriched Syrian society. For this reason, interreligious dialogue and mutual respect are today essential elements for promoting stability, trust, and reconciliation.
Alongside security efforts, it is necessary to encourage a culture of encounter capable of preventing new divisions and tensions. No community can face the challenges of reconstruction alone. Cooperation among religious communities, institutions, and civil society can help create a climate of mutual understanding and strengthen social cohesion.
The European Muslims League continues to support the importance of dialogue among peoples and religions as a concrete instrument for peace and conflict prevention. In a sensitive context such as Syria, respect for human dignity and religious pluralism becomes a fundamental pillar for every process of stabilization and development.
