The year 2025 concludes as a period of intense international engagement for the European Muslims League (EML), committed to promoting intercultural dialogue, cooperation among communities, and peaceful coexistence in a global context marked by conflicts, polarization, and growing social tensions.
Throughout the year, EML strengthened its role as a platform for dialogue, working with institutions, civil society organizations, religious leaders, youth, and local communities. The objective remained clear and consistent: to build bridges of understanding, prevent social conflicts, and promote responsible citizenship, particularly in the relationship between Europe and the Muslim world, while respecting cultural and religious diversity.
One of the most symbolically significant moments of 2025 was the Second Edition of Kick War Away, held on December 28 in Genoa. The initiative demonstrated how sport, culture, and community participation can become concrete tools for dialogue and inclusion. The presence of young people from different faiths and backgrounds conveyed a clear message: coexistence is possible when it is based on mutual respect and shared responsibility.
In this context, the reading of the Declaration of Genoa, which affirms peace as a shared human responsibility and coexistence as the foundation of future societies, represented a moment of strong educational value, especially for younger generations. This message is fully aligned with the mission of the European Muslims League and its commitment to fostering lasting social peace.
During 2025, EML also intensified its international relations, strengthening partnerships in Europe, the Mediterranean, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. This work contributed to promoting a vision of dialogue that does not place cultures or religions in opposition, but rather recognizes them as essential resources for social stability and cooperation among peoples.
Under the leadership of its President, the European Muslims League maintained a clear course of balance, responsibility, and openness, reaffirming that dialogue among communities is not a theoretical exercise, but a concrete necessity for addressing the challenges of our time with credibility and a constructive spirit.
In this year-end reflection, the President of the European Muslims League Alfredo Maiolese, wishes to express sincere gratitude to the EML Peace Ambassadors, the Secretary General, and all members of the Board for their constant commitment, loyal cooperation, and the work carried out throughout 2025. The contribution of each individual, in support of the President’s action and the mission of the Organization, has been essential in strengthening EML’s role as a credible space for dialogue, cooperation, and shared responsibility in service of communities.
Looking ahead to 2026, the European Muslims League is preparing to further strengthen its educational, cultural, and dialogue initiatives, with particular attention to youth, the prevention of social tensions, and the promotion of cooperation paths based on mutual respect and human dignity.
The year 2025 thus closes as a period of consolidation and growth. The year 2026 opens as a time of new responsibilities and new opportunities, guided by dialogue, cooperation, and the construction of lasting social peace.
